8 magical treehouses you can stay at nearby Barcelona

Did you spend hours daydreaming as a kid about living in a treehouse? You weren’t alone! We’ve rounded up a list of all the treehouses nearby Barcelona you can rent or stay at, so that you can bring your childhood dreams to life.

This list of treehouses nearby Barcelona includes everything from rustic treetop perches straight out of storybooks to luxurious ones with steamy outdoor hot tubs.

No matter where you choose to stay, you can be sure to enjoy a front-row seat to the awe-inspiring scenery Catalonia has to offer, with plenty of adventure available to you!

Ok, let’s jump into sharing the treehouses you can find nearby Barcelona. There are plenty of options to choose from!

Cabanes Dosrius

Book yourself a night or two at Cabanes Dosrius and enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This treehouse complex, located in the protected El Montnegre i el Corredor Natural Park, is the perfect place to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature.

The seven rustic yet comfortable treehouses are ideal for those who don’t mind giving up luxuries like electricity or hot water and are comfortable using a chemical toilet.

Cabin heights range from 5 to 9 m. Choose the Pinatell treehouse if you’re a fan of high altitudes. Sitting 9 meters above the ground, the gravity-defying view from your room will be a sight to behold!

Cabanes Dosrius are an excellent option for those not wanting to venture too far out from Barcelona, as they’re only a 48 min drive from the capital.

Cabanes als Arbres

Cabanes als Arbres is an absolutely magical property located in the nature reserve Les Guilleries-Savassona. Guests can rent one of the sixteen eco-friendly wooden treehouses for an elevated (literally!) getaway in the forest. If you do end up snagging a spot here, you can look forward to a terrace perfect for reading and chilling, a delicious breakfast delivered straight to your treehouse, and unlimited oak and elm forest views.

We especially love the treehouses Cargolet, Roquerol, Mallerenga, and Òliba, because they sit 8 and 10 m off the ground and have suspension bridges, making the journey to get there just as fun as the destination.

Cabanes als Arbres are perfect for an off-grid getaway, as they don’t have water or electricity. Be ready for a special night under the moonlight. We can’t recommend enough grabbing the torches and going for a forest walk under the stars!

If you want your experience to be complete, add an ecological spa session to your stay and soak your cares away in the secluded wood-fired, spring-fed hot tub.

The highest of the four treehouses sits 6 m off the ground, making them ideal for those who aren’t a big fan of high heights but still want to try the experience of sleeping among the trees.

La cabanya de l’arbre del Vilaró

This unique Airbnb treehouse is a tucked-away oasis of peace and beauty nestled in the lush forest of the Serra de Milany. It’s built around three strong oak trees overlooking the forest and close to a natural pool for those who love taking a wild swim!

There’s plenty of space around to slow down, stretch out, and recharge. The treehouse uses solar power, and the water comes from the river nearby, making it the perfect option for nature lovers who want simple accommodations in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Take into account that the treehouse is located 7 km away from the closest village (Vidrà), following a forest track. It’s a remote place, so it’s better to rent a 4×4 or an SUV vehicle to get that authentic nature vibe. However, you can also access the treehouse with a standard car; you just need to drive carefully!

Cases de l’Arbre Xalet de Prades

Next on this list of Catalan treehouses is the Cases de l’Arbre Xalet de Prades. The treehouse complex is the perfect place to base yourself on whilst exploring the Muntanya de Prades nature reserve. We recommended hiking to the Avencs de la Febró and Cova de les Gralles during your stay.

Cases de l’Arbre are best suited for families. Keep in mind that these treehouses are located inside a campsite and not alone in the middle of nature. Guests also have access to all the facilities of the campsite where the treehouses are located (swimming pool, restaurant, etc.). Therefore, if you’re looking for quietness and intimacy, this isn’t the best option.

The treehouse Cal Galeno sits on a beautiful 2 hectares farm with fruit trees, chickens, ducks, geese and goats. The owners are becoming as self-sustainable as possible, and the treehouse uses solar energy for electricity, wood for heating and a well for water.

Once you’re inside, you’ll find large windows with clear views of the whole valley of Tarragona to the Mediterranean sea.
